What do you think about President Trump’s proposed spending cuts on the aid of Puerto Rico?

"Because Puerto Rico is a territory of the U.S., it is our obligation to help them. There are students in this school who, for several weeks, were wondering if their families were dead or alive. I disagree with the President's reaction and opinion. He, as the face of our country, needs to handle these crises more professionally."
Yanni Kent, ’20
"I think that pulling funding from Puerto Rico in a time of crisis is a huge mistake and it reflects badly on the President and our country. If anything, funding should be increased in order to support the victims of the hurricanes."
Alex Sandoval, ’20
"I do not agree with the decision to pull funding for Puerto Rico. Nations should strive to help each other. Even though Puerto Ricans are pulling together as a community, there is still a need for outside help."
Mia Quinones, ’19
"Many Puerto Ricans are in dire need of assistance during this harsh time after the hurricane. I am personally thankful that many U.S. citizens are currently trying to aid the situation, and think the government should continue to do so."
